Order and Tension:

I chose 2 formal rectangles for the word "order". I first had the word/text running vertical, but I thought it looked plain, so I added an acrosstic to it.
For "tension" I used an envelope squeeze shape to transform the object. Tension can feel like someone is pulling or squeezing you. I tried to use the text to show the tension. I guess I associate stress with the color red, so that is the reasoning for the color.

Text along the edges of a shape:
I created a square and added text to the edges of the shape. This took a while, but I finally figured it out! I'm not sure I like the placement of the words, so I will continue to work on it!

New Letter in the Alphabet:

My new letter is the combination of an "i" and an "s", and when they are combined the "s" becomes silent. I included my workspace so you could see my thinking. I tried with actual text, but I couldn't figure out how to cut each letter in half, so it didn't turn out so hot. Next I tried to draw it with the blob brush, and that was a little better as far as concept, but it didn't look so good either. Then I remembered that I was supposed to be working with shape, so my last attempt was with a circle, rectangle and an octagon (partially erased). I guess if I had to put in the alphabet, I would put it at the very end. The letters "i" and "s" would already be introduce in the alphbet, so the combination of the two would come somewhere after the "s" or at the very end of the alphabet.
